Day 1. Douala/Yaounde – Garoua - Maroua

Departure by flight * from Douala/Yaoundé to Maroua. After 1hrs 30mins arrival in Maroua. Check into your hotel. Lunch in town, after lunch, visit to the artisan shop and the market, visit to the tannery (local leather production centre) and the forgery (local blacksmith with production of articles from broken vehicles. Dinner in town. Return to hotel and overnight.

* NB this trip can also be made by train from Yaoundé to Ngaoundere v.v and by 4x4 car from Ngaoundere to Boubandjida National Park

Day 2. Maroua- Garoua – Boubandjida (approx 460 km)

After an early breakfast, departure by 4x4 car to Boubandjida through Garoua. Drive through beautiful savannah landscapes dotted with traditional round huts with thatch roofs. Lunch in Garoua and onwards to Boubandjida National park. Evening arrival at the park Campement for dinner and overnight.

Day 3. Boubandjida National park

After an early breakfast, departure by car into the park, view elands, cobs, lions, buffalos, giraffes, elephants and other varieties of animals. Midday return to the Campement for lunch and afternoon at leisure. 4pm departure for the afternoon game drive. Return before night fall, dinner and overnight in the Campement.

Day 4. Boubandjida – Garoua (approx 270 km)

After breakfast set out for the morning game drive, 11am return to the Campement to pack and collect the luggage. Lunch and departure to Garoua. Arrival in Garoua and check into hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5. Garoua – Douala/Yaoundé

After breakfast, departure to the airport of Garoua, check in flight.

Arrival in Douala/Yaoundé.

End of Trip.
